The AlarmGard Plus Motor Operator is the step above the standard bracket mounted AlarmGard. As with all AlarmGard operators, it is designed to safely close a rolling fire door or insulated rolling fire door at a controlled speed upon activation of the alarm or loss of power. Once the alarm is cleared or power has returned, the doors will automatically reset – eliminating time and money to manually reset each one. In addition to all of the standard AlarmGard benefits, the AlarmGard plus also has an auxiliary hand chain hoist and a battery back-up. The battery backup will hold the door in the open position for up to 8 hours, in the event of a power failure.    

The AlarmGard Plus Operator is recommended for applications where manual testing and resetting is impractical, when fire doors are installed in pedestrian through fares, when the application is in a recessed area and where nuisance drops are to be avoided due to temporary power outages.
