Concealed Storm Security Shutters That Close Automatically

These hurricane shutters are concealed discreetly in your overhead areas. You can also hide these closures into a soffit or above a finished ceiling. With the advantage of invisible installation, you can design your storm security shutters in configurations made to cover multiple openings at once or banks of windows. As a result, you can use open and airy rooms as your safe areas while enjoying ample natural light.

StormDefender® roll-up storm shutters have our AlarmGard™ system included. When you have imminent danger looming on the horizon, AlarmGard™ will activate your closures, displaying flashing lights and an audible alarm as a warning. 

As an added advantage, you can connect AlarmGard™ to your building alarm system for automatic deployment. These shutters are made for storms and come with a battery backup for fail-safe reliability even if you lose electricity.

Maximum width between 13’ 10” and 14’ depending on configuration.  Please contact the factory if maximum width required is more than 13’ 10” to ensure proper configuration.

The StormDefender Door is designed specifically with life safety in mind for safe room protection against tornadoes and hurricanes.

The standard materials and finishes for StormDefender are:

Curtain – 12 gauge 4” face flat Steel slat with SpectraShield® powder coat in gray.

Guides – Steel with powder coating to match the curtain.

Bottom Bar – 12 gauge 4” face steel bottom bar with powder coat to match the curtain.

The StormDefender door features the AlarmGard system with fail-safe operation. It can be connected directly to the building alarm system, deploying the doors upon activation
