Fire Door Actuation

In order to limit damage caused by fire, The Cookson Company recommends that all fire doors be actuated by smoke detectors or building alarm systems. All of Cookson’s Fire Door Products Systems have been specifically designed for smoke detector or building alarm actuation.

Cookson Leads in Fire Door Technology

The Cookson Auto-Test FDO-B Motor Operated Fire Door System, offers maximum reliability and durability at a cost effective price - “The Talking Fire Door”.

Fully automatic resetting fire door.

Test key switch makes it easy to test door.

Voice module announces door closing during test or alarm activation, advising building occupants that the fire door will be closing.

Visible and audible speaker strobe light warning device activates at the beginning of a test or alarm while the voice module announcement is sounding.

Built-in battery prevents door closing during power failure unless there is an alarm activation.

During power failure, the door can be closed and stopped using the close control switch.

Soft-Close RPM governing system limits closing speed to 9" per second.

	Lifetime warranted Whisper Governor controls automatic closing speed of door to a range of 6" to 2' per second (used on all doors except Auto-Test model FDO-B)
	Oil tempered torsion springs designed for 50,000 life cycles
